Rick Mudie, Treasurer

Rick and his wife, Leona, have owned a home on Pender Island for 30 years. They have three children and six grandchildren, all living in the Greater Vancouver area. While still working, Rick and Leona were “classic weekenders” on Pender. Since retiring 14 years ago, they spend most of their time on Pender. 

Rick qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1972. He spent his entire career with a large Canadian firm, starting as a rookie student and retiring as Regional Managing Partner for Western Canada. He dealt with clients in a broad range of industries including health care. Rick’s previous board experience includes Pender Island Fire Rescue and Pender Island Junior Sailing. He is a long-time member of Pender Island Yacht Club. Off island, Rick served as a board member for Royal Columbian Hospital Foundation and the Fraser River Discovery Center for many years.
