Jane Harrison, Executive Director

Jane first came to Pender Island over 40 years ago as a recreational boater, then a weekender and intermittent resident, before finally landing for good in 2004. She has worked at the Pender Islands Health Centre for 11 years in a variety of roles, offering a wide set of life and work experience and a keen interest in community engagement and health care. She has a lived appreciation of health services on the island and a well-rounded knowledge of seniors’ programs, clinic practices and the values of the Pender Islands Health Care Society. Away from work, Jane enjoys outdoor activities, working in her garden, participating in local theatre productions and spending time with family and friends.

Her collaborative and professional approach is highly respected and is a great asset to the Health Centre as we work with Island Health and the other Outer Gulf Islands in exploring the transition into a Primary Care Network. Jane comes to the role with the full and enthusiastic endorsement of the entire Board, as well as of the staff and practitioners at the Health Centre.
